He died on May 11, after which many wrestling organizations including WWE, AEW and TNA mourned his death. Sabu took hardcore wrestling to new heights in his four-decade-long career. Sabu was known for his dangerous wrestling with tables, chairs and barbed wires.
Sabu’s wrestling career
Sabu started wrestling in 1985. He gained popularity after joining Extreme Championship Wrestling in the 1990s. Known for his hardcore style in ECW, Sabu won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship twice and had memorable feuds with wrestlers like Rob Van Dam, Tazz and Terry Funk. His high-flying and risky moves popularized the use of tables in the wrestling world. In 2006, Sabu joined WWE. During this time he fought against big names like John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Big Show. He also had a memorable match at WrestleMania 23. However, Sabu bid farewell to WWE in 2007.
