The government has laid down many rules for driving on the roads, which are necessary for everyone to follow. The most important of these is a driving license and vehicle registration. If a person drives a vehicle without these documents, they may have to pay a challan or face legal action. However, certain types of vehicles do not require a license or registration to drive.
Drive these vehicles without a license or registration
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has exempted some electric vehicles from driving license and registration. If the maximum speed of an electric two-wheeler is 25 kilometers per hour and the capacity of the motor installed in it is 250 watts or less, then no license or RC is required to drive such a vehicle.
This means that if you buy a vehicle whose top speed is limited to 25 km / h, then the traffic police cannot issue any challan against you. Even if the police stop you during the check, no penalty will be imposed if you give the correct information.
No license is required for this bike.
There are some small engine two-wheelers in India whose engine is less than 50cc and the top speed is not more than 50 km/h. Such vehicles are also exempt from the requirement of a license and registration.
So, if you are looking for a vehicle that does not require you to visit the RTO to drive and can also avoid police investigation, then these low-speed electric vehicles can be a great option for you.
