There is no need to download any third-party software or apps to switch. Instead, follow the steps below and transfer data from your old iPhone to the new iPhone.
Method 1
Use Quick Start to easily transfer data from your old iPhone to the new iPhone. For this, you need to have both the old and new iPhones. Make sure that both devices have enough battery.
– First, bring both iPhones close and turn on Bluetooth on the old iPhone.
– When a prompt appears on the screen of your old iPhone, turn on the new iPhone and select ‘Continue’.
– After pressing ‘Continue’, an animation will appear on the screen of your new iPhone. Scan this animation with the camera of the old iPhone. Both devices will connect.
– Next, the new iPhone will ask for your passcode. Enter your Apple ID and passcode. At this time, you can also set up Face ID on your phone to make identification easier.
– After entering the Apple ID and passcode, select ‘Transfer From iPhone’ and wait for the transfer to complete.
– At this time, you can also choose to download data from iCloud.
Method 2
Update and transfer your data to the new iPhone using iCloud. To transfer data using iCloud, first, you need to make sure you have an up-to-date backup of your old iPhone on iCloud.
– After backing up your old iPhone to iCloud, turn on your new iPhone.
– Connect the new iPhone to WiFi and continue the setup.
– Select ‘Restore from iCloud Backup’ in the ‘Apps & Data’ screen, then log in to iCloud.
– Select the backup you want to restore and wait for the backup to download.
Method 3
You can use iTunes to transfer data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone. You can transfer data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone using iTunes and your computer.
– First, make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes.
– As in the second method above, you will need an updated backup of your old iPhone so that you can transfer data using iTunes.
– If your iPhone is already set up, you may need to reset it first in this method.
– Turn on your new iPhone and follow the setup instructions after backing up your old iPhone to iTunes.
– Select ‘Restore from Mac or PC’ on the “Apps & Data” screen, then connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC with a USB cable.
