The Jawan mania is reaching a new level everyday and not just in India but globally as well. The advance booking for Jawan opened on September 1 in India but overseas, it opened a few weeks back. And just 5 days before the release, the overseas collection for day 1 has crossed one million dollars.
Jawan overseas advance booking
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has become more like a festival for the entire world. Everyone is rushing to get their tickets and overseas also the scene is the same. The total collection internationally for the first weekend in advance has crossed $2 million as per a report in Pinkvilla. About half of it is for the first day. Internationally, Jawan is surpassing the pre-sale collection of Pathaan everywhere except Australia and UAE. Pathaan claims the highest pre-sale collection globally for any Bollywood film. It collected $4.7 million on Day 1.
While in Australia, Pathaan released on a holiday thus it was expected to stay ahead of Jawan, but UAE has been showing tremendous growth. It might match, if not overcome, Pathaan pre-sale record there before the release. Pathaan holds the record for highest advance collection for any Bollywood in the US and Canada. Jawan has upped that by 60 percent and 10 percent respectively in both territories. The first day collection combined there amounts close to $450K .
The Middle-East contributes almost $225K in the first day overseas advance collection. In Europe, United Kingdom has collected GBP 125K and in Germany 70K Euros. Australia boasts the figure of 90K Australian dollars.
In India, the film has become a rage already. Within 24 hours, Jawan crossed the collection of Rs 10 crores for opening day, and it is just going up. Nationwide, Baahubali 2 has the record of selling highest opening day tickets in advance. Jawan is expected to break that record of advance ticket booking collection with 5 days still remaining for its release date of September 7.
Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Ridhi Dogra. The film’s trailer released on August 31 amid huge excitement. It has just increased the curiosity for the film to next level.
