Sara Ali Khan and brother Ibrahim Ali Khan make for one of the most fun sibling duos in Bollywood. The duo aren’t just brother and sister, but also each other’s best friends, travel buddies and partner-in-crime. Now, Ibrahim is also set to follow the footsteps of sister Sara Ali Khan in acting, and she gave a major update on it.
Recently, Sara Ali Khan made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. There, she engaged in a conversation with Film Companion where she spoke about mother Amrita Singh. She shared, “I think we are both emotional beings and I think I see that most when I see Ibrahim come home.”
Further, Sara even revealed that Ibrahim has finished shooting for his Bollywood debut. The actress added, “You know, he just finished shooting his first film as an actor, which I can’t believe. Yes, he has and whenever he comes home, whether its is from school or from shoot, we both have this extremely loving and like, this attitude towards him and that is when I realised, I do have the heart of my mother. Because we do treat Ibrahim very similarly.”
Before making his Bollywood debut, Ibrahim worked behind the camera on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The youngster was an Assistant Director to Karan Johar on this Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer. The film releases on July 29, 2023.
As for his acting debut, Ibrahim is reportedly working on a film backed by Karan’s Dharma Productions. The film is said to be set up in a defence background and is tentatively titled Sarzameen. It is an emotional thriller reportedly also featuring Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Meanwhile, Sara made her debut at Cannes Film Festival this year. She served some amazing looks on the red carpet and even represented Indian culture by wearing a lehenga on Day 1. She just returned to the city on Saturday after her appearance at the French Riviera.
On the work front, she has the release of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with Vicky Kaushal on June 2. Post that, she has Ae Watan Mere Watan, Metro In Dino and Murder Mubarak.
