Murder-accused Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was visited by his family at the prison on Thursday. On the way to meet his family, Darshan reportedly gave cameras the finger, an offensive gesture, a video that has gone viral on the internet claims.

Accompanied by three cops, Darshan Thoogudeepa was walking donning a full-sleeve white tee-shirt and blue jeans in the viral video. As he noticed the presence of cameras, he was seen holding out the middle fingers of his clenched fist. The 47-year-old actor is currently lodged in Ballari prison.

Multiple handles shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), criticising the paparazzi/media culture following Darshan everywhere.

Meanwhile, Renukaswamy murder-accused Darshan was met by his wife Vijayalakshmi and brother Dinakar at the jail, news reprts said. He was allotted thirty minutes with his family apart from getting a seperate session with his lawyers, Mirror Now said in a report.
Darshan and Pavoitra Gowda were arrested on June 11 alongside a group of henchmen for the alleged murder of Chitradurga native Renukaswamy. A hardcore fan of Darshan, Renukaswamy was abducted by his men for sending nude pics and offensive messages to Pavitra Gowda. Renukaswamy accused Gowda of destroying Vijayalakshmi and Darshan’s marriage.
In retaliation, he was tracked down by Darshan’s man and brought to a shed in outer Bengaluru where he was tortured to death. Gowda and Darshan arrived at the crime scene and assaulted the 33-year-old who later succumbed to the injuries. The chargesheet claimed that Renukaswamy suffered unimaginable horror at the hands of his tormentors before breathing his last.

Darshan had reportedly confessed to the police that he assaulted Renukaswamy before asking Pavithra Gowda to do the same as well.
