Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has on-boarded To Kill a Tiger, the Oscar-nominated documentary as executive producer. This comes at the heels of Netflix announcing that the documentary will be available to stream on the platform.
“I’m so proud to join the incredible team of the Academy Award-nominated documentary @tokillatigerdoc and to announce that @netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to this powerful feature directed by @nishappics. When I first watched this film in 2022, I was immediately captivated by its poignant narrative, depicting a father’s valiant struggle within the judicial system to secure justice for his daughter,” she wrote, sharing a picture of a report from Deadline.

The film directed by Nisha Pahuja, is about a father seeking justice for his 13-year-old daughter, who was brutally gang-raped in 2017. “This project serves as a testament to the boundless love and unyielding determination of a devoted father for his cherished daughter,” Chopra added.
“We are thrilled to share that @Netflix has acquired global rights to TO KILL A TIGER! What’s more, the amazing @PriyankaChopra joins as Executive Producer,” Pahuja wrote on Instagram. Reportedly, Chopra has been a supporter of the film since it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022.
The film has been nominated in the best feature documentary category for the Oscars 2024. The documentary has so far won 24 awards in festivals around the globe. Chopra will be seen in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She will also be seen in Russo Brothers’ film The Bluff and has been announced as one of the actors in the Farhan Akhtar film Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
