Singer Sudhir Yaduvanshi has been the voice behind some popular and melodious tracks. He has been a part of singing-reality shows such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, and Dil Hai Hindustani, Hunarbaaz and The Voice season 3. Sudhir Yaduvanshi continues to receive love for his vocals in the devotional track ‘Shambhu’ from OMG 2 featuring actor Akshay Kumar. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Sudhir talks about his journey, Akshay Kumar, reality shows and much more.
Sharing the experience of singing this song, Sudhir says,“Akshay Sir’s song “Shambhu” feels like a dream come true for me. He listened to me for a few seconds, and we had a brief conversation, but I haven’t met him yet due to his busy schedule. The great thing is that, as a newcomer in the music industry, my voice could have been rejected, but Akshay Sir liked it and decided to keep it. That’s a big deal for me, and I feel he genuinely supports new talent.”
The singer also talks about the culture of remakes and states, “A remake isn’t bad if it’s done the right way. For example, I really love Indian folk music, but in today’s time, it’s essential to make it feel fresh by blending it with modern music and promoting it. This could help our folk and classical songs become even more popular, and it’s already happening. As for auto-tune, no one can replace a good singer with auto-tune alone. In fact, auto-tune works well when used properly, enhancing a good singer’s voice, but it just makes bad singers sound worse.”
Sudhir has been a part of several reality show. Recently, Sunidhi Chauhan shared how these shows are scripted. When asked about it, he remarks, “I’ve been listening to Sunidhi Mam for years, and she’s such an amazing performer. Only a few singers are like that in the industry. If a singer of her caliber says something, there’s definitely truth in it. I’ve competed in shows as a contestant, but she has judged reality shows. She understands the industry better than most.”
On a parting note, we prodded Sudhir about which Bollywood singer he would love to sing for. He says, “I have a heartfelt wish to sing a song for Vicky Kaushal, especially for a historic character he’s portraying.”
