The ‘Adipurush’ actress wore a white saree with pearl appliques on the IIFA Awards 2023 green carpet. Her shirt, which was made of pearl beads, drew the attention of online users. Kriti paired her outfit with flat shoes and an open hairstyle for the event.
One is reminded of Deepika Padukone’s appearance at Cannes 2022 by Kriti’s pearl blouse. At the prestigious film festival, which is in its 75th year, Deepika participated as a jury member. The Cocktail actress wore an off-white ruffle saree and a strapless beaded top for the red carpet. She added a pearl collar embellishment to complement her appearance.
Kriti had already faced criticism for donning an “inspired” dress. The actress wore a black and white dress for IIFA 2023’s opening night. Anushka Sharma wore the exact same dress at Cannes 2023 on the same day and by the same designer.
On the same day but in separate parts of the world, Richard Quinn created dresses that Kriti Sanon and Anushka Sharma both wore.Kriti graced the green carpet in a black-and-white rendition of the same gown while Anushka donned an ivory one.The floral shoulder embellishment on both dresses was the same, although it was coloured differently.Not only did the dresses match, but the actresses also had buns in their hair that were identical to one another.
The Goddess Sita will be played by Kriti Sanon in the upcoming film ‘Adipurush’. Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan play the key parts in the film as well. Next up for Deepika Padukone is the aerial action film ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. She will co-star in ‘Project K’ with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas.
