There have been reports of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Janhvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi Kapoor coming together for the remake of Love Today. And well, it looks like its happening. The original Tamil film was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan.
Khushi and Junaid to star in Love Today remake
PeepingMoon quoted a source saying, “Junaid and Khushi are perfectly suited for this movie. It’s an entertaining look at love in today’s technologically advanced world and has very well been adapted for Hindi-speaking audiences. The makers have made several changes to make it a little more mainstream, but the core theme of modern love and the emotional trails of families has been retained as it is. Both starkids already share a good rapport with each other and are eagerly waiting to shoot together.”
For the uninitiated, Love Today remake will mark Junaid and Khushi’s second project. Junaid will be making his acting debut with Yash Raj Films’ Maharaja. His debut project is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. On the other hand, Khushi will make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. However, Love Today remake will mark Khushi’s theatrical debut, as The Archies will be releasing on Netflix.
The Archies also stars Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, Mihir Ahuja and Dot. In May last year, Khushi shared an exciting announcement video and wrote in the caption, “Ain’t nothing like old school! Grab your gang ‘cause the Archies are coming soon on @netflix_in!”
Khushi had also shared a poster on her Instagram. The makers are yet to announce The Archies’ release date.
