The 2009 movie, 3 Idiots was one such film that the audience closely connected to. It included one of the most loved star cast of Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan in the lead roles. It also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Boman Irani as pivotal characters. The movie went on to top the box-office numbers and fans have been waiting for the sequel since then. Recently, in an interview, Raju from 3 Idiots aka Sharman Joshi set the record straight on the sequel of the movie.

The movie has become a cult classic and fans have been waiting for the sequel very eagerly. Talking to India Today, Sharman Joshi shared details on the 3 Idiots sequel, he said, “We often exchanged a few ideas that we have had before, but never really took them too far. As you all know, Rajkumar Hirani has some potential in terms of very good work on the sequel, but as we all know, Hirani Sir does not compromise at any level in terms of story, quality and standards. So, we are all just hoping that it will happen.”

Amidst these, fans can’t contain their excitement and have been waiting for an official announcement of the movie.

Previously, in February, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R Madhavan, Boman Irani and Mona Singh reunited to promote Sharman Joshi’s movie Congratulations. They shared a bunch of videos back to which speculated rumours of the 3 Idiots sequel happening. But, later it was unveiled that it was to promote. The movie 3 Idiots also starred Jaaved Jaaferi and Omi Vaidya.
