Alia Bhatt’s career in the Bollywood entertainment industry spans for more than a decade now. During this, the Darlings actress has equally received love and hatred. However, Alia Bhatt delivering classic movies and engaging content has left her fans and followers impressed. Quite often, Alia Bhatt has faced trolls in her life, sometimes for being a star kid and otherwise for making statements that were not well received by the audience. Now, she has opened up about how she tackles the negativity around her.
During a chat at the HT Leadership Summit, Alia Bhatt opened up about tackling trolls and scrutiny. Speaking about the same, Alia said that she used to be a little defensive initially and she got a bit more dismissive later on. Alia Bhatt said, “I don’t think it’s fair, the position that I’m in, maybe the privilege that I have, it doesn’t look nice if I say, ‘I don’t like that people are saying not nice things about me.’ But you don’t want to read nasty things about you or your relationships or your family or your loved ones.”
Further, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress said that she does not want to fight with her audience. Alia says, “Those people writing it, they’re my audience. So, as long as my movies are doing well and I’m entertaining them. When I say I’m grateful for all the love, these are the moments when I have to show my gratitude, not only when things are all hunky dory and people are clapping for me, but maybe when there are no claps and a bunch of trolls. I still have to maintain that gratitude because that came my way, and I’m here because of the audience.” She also added, “A person can just not like my face, and I can’t really do anything about it.”
Recently, Alia Bhatt won a National Award as the Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Post this, the actress was seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and won hearts with her distinct character. Now, she is all set to star in Vasan Bala’s Jigra, for which, Alia has already begun with the shooting. Alia Bhatt has made her Bollywood debut with the Dharma movie and now, she is all set to produce a movie with the production house.
