Actress Divya Dutta needs no introduction. The artist – who has been part of films like part of films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Veer-Zaara, Stanley Ka Dabba, Heroine and more, recently took to social media and lashed out at air carrier IndiGo over claims of being checked in on a cancelled flight without any notification. Scroll on to watch the video she posted bashing the airline and to know what fans have to say about it.
Early Thursday morning, Divya Dutta took to her Instagram handle and shared a video from what seems to be the Mumbai airport. The clip sees her in front of the gate her flight was scheduled to leave from but the entire area is deserted. Tagging IndiGo, Divya captioned the post, “@indigo.6e ! Thank you for a very horrendous experience in the wee hrs!!. No notification of a cancelled flight..am checked in on a cancelled flight.”
Her caption further read, “The flight announcement reflects at the gate! No staff to assist! Huge harassment at the gate to exit and no staff from @indigo.6e @indigoairways present…and the high-headed approach to the passengers! My shoot got affected and I am terribly upset!!!”
Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “Put this on Twitter and they will respond immediately. They owe you a deep apology” Another added, “Why are we acting surprised” A third user commented, “This is horrendous” One more comment read, “Oh No!!! what a terrible experience! They Suck!!!!” A fifth – losing their cool, noted, “What the hell. This is how they treat their clients.”
An Insta user, recalling a similar incident, added, “My mother faced a similar issue 2 days back in Kolkata , when these guys refused to board her saying the gates are closed after a long argument with the ground staff they confirmed that the flight was delayed!! Absolutely ridiculous service and behaviour.”
Taking a stand for IndiGo, a netizen commented, “All airlines have issues. Indigo is one the biggest airlines in India, and their takeoffs run into hundreds daily. So there will be issues like crew shortage due to transportation, weather, and technical” For the unversed, Mumbai witnessed heavy rains all evening on Wednesday as well as the early hours of Thursday. This has led to several flights being delayed or grounded.
