Less than a week ago, it was confirmed that British rock band Coldplay were all set to perform in India. The band – comprising of vocalist-pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer-percussionist Will Champion, were set to perform the Mumbai leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour on January 18 and 19.
Bookings for the same opened at noon today and sold out soon after. This has resulted in the band extending their stay in the country by adding another show. Read on for the details.
Coldplay’s concert – which will take place at DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19, has been extended for one more day. The band’s third concert in Mumbai will place at the same venue but on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The sale for the same went live a while ago – 2 pm.
Taking to their Instagram handle a while ago, Coldplay announced a third concert in Mumbai as the two scheduled on the weekend sold out. Sharing an image with the concert details, the band wrote, “Third Mumbai show added” The edit made to the poster read, “New dare added due to phenomenal demand 21 January 2025”

Booking for show three commenced at 2 pm but it seems like Day 3 has likely been sold out too. We wonder if the band plans on adding more shows to their Music of the Spheres World Tour in Mumbai. The addition of Day 3 has resulted in one fan saying, “As per demand, you’ll need to book one month India tour.” Another joked. “Extend the tour till March. Holi mana k jana.”
While fans wait to gain access to the shows, reports are surfacing that seats are being resold at exorbitant rates. As per a tweet, a Rs 12500 ticket has been sold for Rs 124848 on viagogo. This is nearly 10x the original amount.
