Anil Kapoor is an undeniable powerhouse in the entertainment industry. His remarkable journey spans four decades with no signs of slowing down. He made his debut in Bollywood with the film Woh Saat Din in 1983. The movie also starred Naseeruddin Shah and Padmini Kolhapure. On Friday, Anil Kapoor celebrated his 40 years in the industry. He took to his Instagram to express heartfelt gratitude towards his co-actors to whom he owes his Bollywood career.
The actor shared a clip from Woh Saat Din in which he is seen playing a musical instrument. Anil wrote, “Today I complete 40 years of being an actor and an entertainer…40 years of being accepted, loved and blessed by you, the audience! They say when you’re doing something you love, time just flies by…no wonder 4 decades seem like the blink of an eye! This is where I belong this is what I’m meant to do and this is who I’m supposed to be…”
In his heartfelt caption, the actor also acknowledged that his co-stars Naseeruddin Shah and Padmini Kolhapure warmly received him. He expressed his deep gratitude to Naseeruddin and Padmini, emphasizing their star power and the gracious welcome they extended to him as a newcomer. A part of his note read, “I’m also eternally grateful to @naseeruddin49 & @padminikolhapure for their grace in welcoming a newcomer. Their stardom made me shine brighter than I could’ve hoped for. I owe everything I am today to these legends, and to the love and acceptance I have found with each one of you.”
Ending the note, he spoke about his upcoming work, “To mark the completion of these 40 years, I’m coming to you in two very special avatars with The Night Manager part 2 and Animal. I hope you will continue to love and support me the way you have always done.”
Anil Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah have done other movies together like Karma (1986), Rajkumar (1996) and Welcome Back (2015). On the other hand, Padmini Kolhpure and Anil starred once again in Pyar Kiya Hai Pyar Karenge (1986).
The actor is gearing up for the release of his web-showThe Night Manager 2. It stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sobhitha Dhulipala. It is set to release on June 30, 2023. Next in the pipeline, Anil has Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie will hit theatres on August 11, 2023.
