In their recent anniversary special vlog, Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol went to Iskcon Temple Pune, where they got married. They revealed on that vlog that they spent just Rs 1.5 lakh on their wedding. It included the cost of the venue, their outfits and other expenses.
Their wedding outfit cost was even lesser than a proper fine dining meal of one time. Amrita Rao wore a saree that cost just Rs 3000 at her wedding. Amrita shared, “I wanted to wear a traditional outfit. My saree’s cost was ₹3000… I didn’t want to wear designer clothes… I wore artificial jewellery. My mangalsutra was only ₹18,000.” Even Anmol’s wedding outfit cost almost similar to Amrita’s and the venue cost them Rs 11000.
Talking about their big day, Amrita shared, “We have always believed that marriage is love. Money is not a showpiece. We only wanted our family and close friends to be at our wedding… We didn’t spend much on the wedding and we enjoyed it.”
Anmol added to it saying, “Our marriage is a reflection of our personalities, and we wanted to do it in a transparent manner. We will be content if our wedding encourages couples to get married within their means.”
