Poonam Pandey has become the talk of the town but for all the wrong reasons. After her team revealed that she died of cervical cancer, Poonam shared a video announcing, ‘I’m alive.’ Soon after she faked her death, Poonam Pandey revealed that it was creating awareness for the cancer. However, this didn’t go down well with the people as they were slammed for pulling a cheap stunt. Now, even celebs have called her out for pulling off the cheap stunt in the name of awareness. Stars like Aly Goni, Ridhi Dogra, Shardul Pandit, Shrenu Parikh and more have slammed her for the same.
Aly tweeted, “Fuking cheap publicity stunt it was nothing else.. u guys think it’s funny ? U and ur PR team should be boycotted I swear.. bloody losers and to all the media portals we people here trust u that’s y we believed it.. shame on u all..” While Ridhi Dogra said, “Faking death for awareness may seem like a winner idea for those who came up with it. But its pathetic and disgusting to share it as news. Without fact checking or any research absolutely irresponsible.“
Recently, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1 announced the government’s plans to focus on vaccination against cervical cancer for girls aged 9 to 14 as part of her Interim Budget 2024.
