Alia Bhatt is all set for the release of her upcoming actioner Jigra and is currently busy promoting it across platforms. During one such recent promotion – with Karan Johar and Jr NTR (who is promoting his soon-to-release flick Devara), Alia opened up about the influence of motherhood on her as an actress and why she said yes to Jigra.
During a recent sit-down with Karan Johar and ‘Devara’ Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt revealed that the birth of her daughter, Raha Kapoor, has “most definitely’ influenced the way she carried herself in front of a camera. Stating that motherhood has impacted her as an artist, Alia opened up about how it helped her say yes to Jigra.
Talking about her mindset when she said yes to the Vasan Bala directorial, Alia said, “I’m not saying this cause I’m promoting Jigra – genuinely, swear on my heart. When I signed Jigra, I think I was in my tigress mode. I was in my most protective (phase) – like ‘no one comes near her’ mode. That was the energy. That is why I always say destiny, luck, life have so much to play in things going a certain way for you. Forget (about) the fate of Jigra, the fact that it came to me also, I was like, ‘Wow, what is the timing.’ Like I’m feeling this way and it came. And it had all of those things laced over it.”
She concluded, “So I don’t think I’m the same person (ever since Raha was born), I don’t want to be the same person. Life just has so much more meaning (now).” Watch the video here:
