On Thursday, which also marks Karan Johar’s birthday, the filmmaker unveiled Alia’s first look from RARKPK. The audience got a glimpse of the chic style diary of Alia aka Rani when Karan had shared a BTS video from the film’s shoot. Now that Rani’s look book has come out officially, it’s just to die for.
Alia is oozing out desi diva vibes in her look as Rani. While the sarees are just impeccable, it’s the smoky eye make up, the little curls in her hair and the bindi that just make this look extraordinary. There is an innate class that just exudes from the look. The audience has seen Alia play the girl next door in films like 2 States, the Dulhania franchise and many more. But this one promises something very different.
Alia was recently announced as the new brand ambassador for Gucci. Now this look book of Rani just prove that she is indeed a style icon. While the whole look is quite spectacular, it’s the bindi that makes it stand out. Rani would surely go down in the cinema history books as one of the most iconic character looks in Bollywood.
RARKPK marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after 7 years. He last directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016 where Alia even had a cameo. RARKPK stars Ranveer Singh in the lead opposite Alia. The film also features veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. It will release theatrically on July 28, 2023.
