Actor Shahrukh Khan, who returned to Mumbai from London amid tension on the border between India and Pakistan, has again reached London. The musical play being made on his blockbuster film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)’ is going to be inaugurated there on 29th May. Before this, an attractive pose of the timeless pair of Shahrukh and Kajol from DDLJ is also to be released at Leicester Square in London.
All these programs were proposed this month, but the killing of Indian tourists in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and the subsequent threat of the Indian Army inside Pakistan changed the situation. Shahrukh Khan returned to India due to this. But his heart probably remained in London. Due to this, as soon as the situation on the border improved, he again reached London to meet the team of the musical play ‘Come Fall in Love’ being made on his film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
This musical play is going to be directed by the director of the original film, Aditya Chopra. It is worth mentioning that the film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ has been running continuously in Mumbai since its release in 1995, and this year it is going to complete 30 years of its release. Actor Jaina Pandya, who is playing the role of Simran in the musical drama, lost her senses after seeing Shahrukh in London. She said, “It was a great honour to meet Shahrukh Khan and find him in the rehearsal room. The time and support he gave for the show were amazing. We also showed him full dress rehearsals for some scenes.”
In the drama ‘Come Fall in Love’, Ashley Day has played the role of Raj in the story of the film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, his name in the musical drama is Roger. During this meeting, Shahrukh gave him some special tips. He says, “When Shahrukh came among us, the whole atmosphere changed. He hugged all the artists and congratulated them and praised every good work wholeheartedly.” Music composers Vishal-Shekhar were also present on this occasion.
After meeting Shah Rukh in London, Vishal Dadlani said, “Shahrukh’s visit to our workshop was a very positive and inspiring experience. Raj met Raj. It was a very special moment! Most importantly, he loved our songs, the voices of the actors, and the energy.” According to Shekhar Ravjiani, “Shahrukh Khan’s sudden appearance on the set was a memorable and heartwarming experience for the entire team. His presence says it all. It was a privilege for the entire team to meet the real ‘Raj’. Theatre is very close to Shah Rukh’s heart as his career started from there.”
