After playing the antagonist in Ekta Kapoor's Naagin, Adaa Khan, who was earlier reported to play Daayan in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming thriller will instead play the protagonist in Rashmi Sharma's Vish Ya Amrit: Sitaara. The new character is touted to shed Adaa's negative image that she had drawn from her past role in Naagin.
Informing about the same, a source close to the show revealed to a leading tabloid, "The show is set against the backdrop of Jaisalmer and the shoot for the first schedule will commence soon in Bikaner. The story, which is based on the folklore of Vishakanya, revolves around a girl named Sitaara, who fights every odd to protect her family. The makers of the show have finalised Adaa to play the heroine and she fits the part perfectly."
Confirming about bagging a lead role in Rashmi Sharma's show, Adaa Khan said, "Yes, I am a part of the show and will play the title role. It's a positive character. I am excited and looking forward to commencing the shoot."
Apart from Adaa Khan, Vish Ya Amrit: Sitaara will also star Shilpa Saklani, Shakti Anand, Lavina Tandon and Falaq Naaz in pivotal roles. Further details of the show are yet to be revealed.
